This certificate must be submitted along with your completed and notarized application. The cost of the class is $200.00. The fee to notarize your application is optional and an additional $10.00.

Step 4: Once you complete the application and course, contact or visit the department from where you obtained your application to have your fingerprints taken and the application submitted. Instead, you must pay the state to renew your blue card endorsement, on your pistol permit, when you renew your pistol permit, every 5 years. The endorsement runs the length of your pistol permit. You must bring your guard card AND pistol permit as well as payment for the class. You are suggested to also bring footwear and company uniform, bug spray and/or sun screen, and a brimmed hat.

Is the qualification course for the blue card hard?

Our blue card training is an intermediate level course. Familiarization of your handgun is necessary and understanding handgun safety is paramount. Simply put, if the last time you handled a firearm was during your pistol permit class, you may have difficulty keeping up with your peers. This will also apply to any blue card class you take anywhere in the state, as it is naturally a more advanced course. We suggest going to a gun range and becoming familiar with your firearm before taking this course. If you are unsure if you’re ready to take this course, contact us OR schedule a private lesson to diagnose any shooting errors.
